I’m often asked what next and my eyes open wide rather like the proverbial child in a sweet shop. There are so many amazing adventures and challenges in the world that I often find myself day dreaming about ‘what next?’
I aim to compete in the Devizes to Westminster International Canoe Race in 2017 (and as many subsequent years as my body will allow) in my folding kayak. The ‘DW’ as it’s known is a tough race, which I have completed twice, both times in my folding kayak (more commonly referred to as a ‘Klepper’). It’s strangely enjoyable even though I can barely walk afterwards!
Future challenges may well involve walking and cycling (not at the same time of course), as I do aim to do more to help those suffering with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
The British Antarctic Microlight Expedition (BAME) with the Flying For Freedom team is on the horizon and there is more information on BAME in the ‘Challenges’ tab.
I do remain open to suggestions for challenges and adventures and would relish teaming up with people, to take on ‘out of the norm’ ideas.
Finally… ‘What’s Next?’… to continue to raise funds for charity.
